TIANA® Fairtrade Organic Raw Crystallised Coconut Blossom Nectar is the perfect alternative to cane or beet sugar. It is a unique sugar alternative for people on restrictive sugar diets as it contains 2% fructose which is the lowest available and has a naturally low glycaemic index of 35.

Coconut Sugar or Coconut Nectar?

For its production, the nectar of organic coconut blossom is collected every four hours in order to ensure that it will be crystallised immediately to avoid fermentation. If coconut nectar is kept for several hours, it will ferment and not crystallise. This differentiates it from some coconut sugars which are mixed with preservatives or additives which includes calcium hydroxude or sodium-bi-sulphite.

They are blended with cane sugar, palm tree sugar or malt-based sweeteners. Those types of coconut sugars will have to be processed much longer and will have lower nutritional values and a darker brown colour caused by impurities that darken the colour of coconut sugar. However our Coconut Nectar is raw, unrefined and highly nutritious making the product stand out unlike coconut sugar, which is crystallised at boiling temperatures.
